MHREC has some exciting news!
This week MHREC members and invitees will be participating in a consultation on robotics, as part of the Robotics4EU project.
Robotics4EU is a 3-year project funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The project aims to ensure a more widespread adoption of (AI-based) robots in healthcare, inspection and maintenance of infrastructure, agri-food, and agile production.
This is part of a wide spread initiative taking place in October 2021, where approximately 700 citizens from 10 EU member states will take part in a GlobalSay citizen consultation on robotics.
Acrosslimits, which is a Maltese SME dealing with technology in education, health, culture and research, has partnered with Robotics4EU. They have shared the idea that a dialogue on robots and their role in Maltese society is imperative.
MHREC affirms that this is an important topic to discuss, considering the widespread effect of technology on today’s society. We are thus very eager to be playing a role in this dialogue and hosting this event.
We envisage a night of discussion, creativity and inspiration!
