Call for Educators – ABCs of Human Rights: A Community Voice Project

The Malta Human Rights Education Centre (MHREC) is seeking dynamic and passionate educators to join us in delivering an innovative adult learning project:
“The ABCs of Human Rights: A Community Voice Project.”

This project invites adult learners from diverse backgrounds to co-create a community booklet where each letter of the alphabet represents a key human rights concept. Through interactive sessions, participants will reflect, write, and share their perspectives on the meaning of human rights in Malta today. The booklet will be launched publicly and shared with local councils to spark dialogue and awareness at the community level. Learn more about the project here.


The Role

We are looking for educators who can:

  • Facilitate two interactive learning sessions (2.5 hours each) with adult learners on 20th September 2025 in Malta and 4th October 2025 in Gozo.
  • Guide participants in exploring human rights concepts in creative and accessible ways.
  • Support learners in expressing their reflections (through writing, art, or storytelling).
  • Collaborate with MHREC on the co-creation of the booklet (5 hours) and its online public launch (2 hours).

Requirements

  • Proven experience in human rights education, civic education, or related fields.
  • Experience working with diverse adult learner groups (including migrants, refugees, and vulnerable individuals).
  • Strong facilitation skills, with a participatory and inclusive approach.
  • Commitment to MHREC’s values of dignity, equality, and community engagement.
  • VAT Number
