Sneak peak: Here i Stand

In the upcoming session, Building Bridges: Incorporating Bibliotherapy to Human Rights Education MHREC will be referring to the book Here I stand. The book is a new Amnesty International collection of short stories and poems for youth. As told by the publishers, “It’s full of words and pictures that aren’t afraid to shine a light into the dark corners”.

As Jules Carey says in his foreword: ‘Every gain for human rights and those freedoms we enjoy began with one or two people recognising that something was worth fighting for, and joining with other like-minded people to make a difference. I hope you will all be inspired to do the same.’

MHREC will be reading and discussing short stories and poems from the book in its upcoming session Building Bridges Incorporating Bibliotherapy to Human Rights Education, focusing on themes of active citizenship and democracy.

Join us on Saturday 13th April at 10:00 at Ronald McDonald House Charities Malta, Triq Wileg , SPB 1922, Qawra. Register here! We hope to see you there!
