As part of our summer volunteer and workshop series we held a session at the Ronald McDonald House Charities on project development with the intention to inspire and support action that Julia would propose and implement.
MHREC held a session on project development; what makes a project and how to implement it and the kind of tools, skills and materials needed. We discussed the stages of project implementation, in order to prepare Julia for her ‘Taking Action’ project. The idea behind the Taking Action project is to put into practice the principles learnt during the previous sessions.

Julia proposed her various ideas and as a team we discussed the different ways these can be
implemented, their strengths and weaknesses and their impact. We also welcomed Nicole,
another volunteer, who spoke about her experience as a MHREC volunteer and the different
kinds of opportunities that exist in order to contribute to the dissemination of human rights
awareness.
We look forward to sharing Julia’s progress and her presentation of her executed project so do check back next week!
