We are pleased to announce a new opportunity for University of Malta students, thanks to Degreeplus!
Degreeplus is an initiative of the University of Malta which enhances your educational experience, profile and CV while studying for your degree. University of Malta students who engage in the listed extracurricular activities will have their work listed in their University Transcript and Degreeplus Certificate.
Now you can volunteer and learn with the Malta Human Rights Education Centre (MHREC) and get your work recognized by the University!
Students who enrol with the MHREC will be contributing to legal research and assisting in the publishing of legal articles on the MHREC’s website.
The MHREC is a voluntary association that aims to disseminate human rights ideals and principles, and educate the general public on notions of anti-discrimination and equality.
The ‘Court View’ section of the MHREC’s website aims to report and inform the public on landmark human rights cases on a regular basis in order to bring to light particular human rights issues in relation to the local situation to provide an opportunity for reflection and discussion.
Involved students will learn how to work in a team, conduct legal research in a voluntary organization set up, and navigate the back-end of a website to publish their work. The students will have the opportunity to learn about human rights, whilst also practising their leadership and networking skills within a collaborative-writing and blended-learning environment.
